Laurieston Road, otherwise known as North Gate, is a development of 31 homes and is the culmination of the 30-year ‘Crown Street’ Regeneration in the Gorbals. Designed by Page/Park Architects, the design is conceived as a series of towers that are interconnected at the top in a sculptural manner with the imposing structure reaching up to seven storeys acting as a new gateway to the southside of Glasgow. It is no wonder then that it beat stiff competition to win the coveted ‘Residential’ Design Award from the Glasgow Institute of Architects this November [18/11/22].
North Gate was delivered on behalf of New Gorbals Housing Association by CCG (Scotland) with the support of MU in the form of a turnkey, Multi-Utility Services package which helped deliver the project to a formal completion in summer-2022.
