Sikeside Street, Coatbridge

Arc-Tech MU was appointed by Allanwater Homes to provide multi-utility services for a new residential development at Sikeside Street, Coatbridge.

Arc-tech MU is supporting the project’s delivery with a turn-key package: delivering the design, supply, and installation of gas, water, and electricity mains and services for 24 plots, consisting of 12 semi-detached and 12 terraced houses. The project also included the civils works for the off-site connections to the existing utility networks, and the electric diversion works for the existing LV and HV cables within the site boundary.

Our services included:

Gas

Approximately 215m of 125/90/63mm Gas pipework installed in suitable tracks to the site boundary and throughout the site.
From the newly installed Gas mains, 24No Gas services installed to serve each of the properties.
The Gas Meter boxes supplied free issue by Arc Tech MU and installed by the site Ground work contractor.

Water

Approximately 35m of 63mm MDPE pipework installed in suitable tracks to the site boundary and throughout the site.
From the newly installed Water mains, 4No Water services installed to serve each of the properties, terminating at a boundary box.
8No 25mm services connected onto existing Scottish Water mains within site boundary on Afton 45 Gardens to housed property.
1No 63mm services connected onto existing Scottish Water mains within site boundary on Afton Gardens to flatted block.
1No Test & Chlorination of the new water mains was required given the length of mains installed.

Electricity

1No new LV mains cables from the POC to a new site.
173m of LV mains cabling installed in suitable tracks throughout the site.
24No Electric services were installed to serve each of the properties, terminating at a 100A cut out.
New Services installed from the new mains to serve the 1no Street lighting control pillars (1- phase) and 1No 3-phase service connection for the site compound.
Approximately 52m of LV mains cabling installed in suitable tracks.
136m of LV mains cabling was installed in suitable tracks.
