ArcTech MU are proud to announce that the North Gate development, one of MU’s first projects, has been honoured with an RIAS Award 2024. This prestigious award recognises the development’s outstanding contribution to Scottish architecture and its positive impact on the community.
North Gate stands as a landmark achievement within the Gorbals area, marking a significant step in the Crown Street Masterplan’s vision. The development, featuring 31 homes designed with the elderly in mind, promotes a sense of community through shared facilities and thoughtful design.
As part of this award-winning project, Arc-Tech MU provided essential multi-utility services that were crucial to the development’s success. Our contributions included:
Gas: Installation of reliable gas mains to ensure energy efficiency and safety.
Water: Implementation of durable water barrier pipework for a consistent supply.
Electricity: Provision of electric mains cable, powering the development with sustainability in mind.
Our work alongside Page/Park Architects and CCG (Scotland) Ltd has not only contributed to the creation of a comfortable living environment but has also helped shape an architectural statement that has now been recognised by the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS).
As we celebrate the North Gate development’s win, we reflect on the importance of our multi-utility services in supporting such significant projects. We are committed to continuing our efforts in providing comprehensive solutions that aid in the construction and regeneration of communities.
